Wine is meant to be enjoyed. Plus, wine lovers are pretty passionate about the overall wine experience. So, if you’re switching from high-alcohol to low-alcohol wine you don’t want to skimp on flavor. Well, no worries on that front!
To get a higher ABV, vintners need more sugar so they’ll leave the grapes on the vine as long as possible. The more sugar there is, however, the less acid there is. Since acid is needed to balance out the alcohol, this can be tricky and can lead to unbalanced wine. With many vintners including additional sugars in their wine
Benefits Include:
– Low-alcohol wine means less sugar content
– Reduced calorie counts
– Best of all, the ability to drink more great wine
– Same antioxidants you get from any bottle of wine
Through our research, we have discovered some wonderful smaller wineries, who don’t have broad distribution. Combined with the difficulty finding really great naturally low-alcohol/calorie wines we’re looking at making it easier yet.
We are exploring the idea of a subscription wine club where we can combine some smaller local producers with some truly amazing wines from around the world to provide a month or quarterly subscription service allowing you to choose your six bottles of Red, White, or a combination that we curate and provide directly to you.
If you are interested in this idea and learning more, provide us your email and we will contact you as the program details develop.
It all started with a simple question my wife asked me.
“Where can I find low alcohol wines that taste good”?
Both of us with active lifestyles love wine, but also like to balance the calories and the alcohol without compromising on the taste.
Over the last couple of years, there has been an increasing movement for winemakers to offer low alcohol and low-calorie wines, many disappointing. But as I found out it doesn’t have to be that way.
Living in California and surrounded by a hundred wineries in a 20-minute radius it seemed an easy goal – so the research began. Through our research, we were able to discover a broad array of “Naturally” produced wines that knocked the socks off the supposed low-calorie customized wines that lacked flavor and just made you sad.
During the pandemic we discovered great Reds and Whites, but finding them was no simple feat. Our friends began to ask us where we found them and where they could get them. There was nowhere I could find that made it easy to learn about, find, and enjoy these wines. With that, the idea of FitWine.co was born.
We launched this site and mobile app to make it easier to find great-tasting wines, share our experiences while balancing an active lifestyle, and building a community around like-minded folks who are also looking to discover these great naturally low-alcohol and wines.s
FITWine.co is dedicated to provide a resource and enable a community of passionate wine enthusiasts, winemakers, and anyone looking to find, share and enjoy the best in low alcohol, low sugar, and organic wines to fit your lifestyle and desire for great tasing wines.
