Lumen Escence
Lumen Escence is an orange wine, meaning that it is a white grape that is treated in the winery like a red grape. We picked our favorite Pinot Gris at Sierra Madre Vineyard a few weeks early, then fermented on the skins for a full 10 days. The resulting wine is full of character: strawberry and peach, piercing & puckering attack, kombucha and kimchi, lime.
Vinho Verde Loureiro
Bright pale yellow citrus hue. A wine with the backbone of granite, minerality, where the aroma is dominated by fruits and flowers, including hints of lime and orange with the essential oils of their skins. the mouth attack has volume and a vibrant acidity, enhancing length and persistence.
Post-Quercus Baga Tinto
Brilliant cherry red color with a present viscosity. The taste is delicate and elegant, very juicy, attractive and it has a lingering and teasing aftertaste. A pure “vin de plaisir” which will accompany very nicely grilled fish and seafood and simple quality meat dishes with fresh and crunchy vegetables to accent the pureness of the wine. This Baga is also a good contender to creamy cheeses.
Tendu
The wines have less tannin and concentration than we’ve seen since before the drought, instead of delivering high-toned fruit and delicate mouthfeel.
This quaffable red blend shows delicious fruit flavors and bright acidity that calls out for pizza, pasta, and burgers.
Blend: 44% Barbera, 26% Aglianico, 24% Montepulciano, and 6% mixed Rhône varieties
Organic: This wine is made from grapes grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides in the vineyard.
Sparking White Wine
This year we introduce our first Las Positas sparkling wine. Las Positas sparkling wine is selected by our winemaker specifically for Las Positas Vineyards. It is bright and luxurious with aromas of apple, peach, and spiced pear. The palate is rich and velvety, with flavors of pear, meyer lemon, and candied ginger. We feel this sparkling wine will be a fine complement to any meal or special occasion and just pure joy to drink. $30.00
Carmenere
Carmenere is a difficult grape to grow and in hot regions yields are lower than other red varietals. This wine exemplifies a light to medium-bodied Carmenere with earthy fruit-forward notes of cherries and hints of cranberry and pomegranate. Soft finish with light tannins, a splash of hickory spice, and a hint of tobacco.
It has a red crimson color and is nicely balanced with a low alcohol content. The flavor is smooth, earthy and ever so slightly smoky.
Pairs well with lamb and pork; and spicy Spanish or Mexican foods are also great.
