Cote Bannie

This wines showcases all the flavors that we love in Sonoma Coast vineyards, blackberries and cherries with hints of cola.

VINTAGE NOTES:
The 2017 vintage began with significant rainfall prior to bloom, refilling the state’s reservoirs and ending California’s five-year drought. We saw a sudden spike in temperatures just prior to harvest, leading fruit to ripen quicker than anticipated. This sped up our harvest schedule, but due to our team’s vigilance, the fruit was still able to be picked at optimal ripeness. Temperatures then cooled back down by mid-September, allowing the remaining vineyards to complete ripening at an ideal pace. The rest of harvest was finished as planned, with yields coming in at their typical levels.

VINEYARD NOTES:

Meaning “Banished Coast” in French, the Côte Bannie vineyard is in the small town of Bloomfield along the Sonoma Coast. Located in close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, this vineyard is known for its prolonged fog cover throughout the growing season. Planted on steep southern facing hillsides, the grapes from Côte Bannie produce a wine that is intensely concentrated and densely layered.

Miners Rose

Crisp and refreshing notes of berry and citrus lead while softer notes of honeysuckle linger in the finish. Strawberry lemonade comes to mind when sipping on this youthful Rosé of Sangiovese.

Savignon Blanc

This wine is more minerality-driven than fruit-driven. Not grassy or overly ripe, it features delicate fruit flavors and steely, mineral notes. Starting with the 2019 vintage, our grapes come from Napa Valley and Suisun Valley, a “hidden gem” only 30 minutes from Napa that shares a similar maritime climate and produces exceptional wine. We harvest the fruit at just the right moment to achieve firm acidity and low alcohol.
